Head along the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway through the coastal mountains where you will discover breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the amazing coastal Redwoods – some of the tallest trees in the world.
This tour takes you to two of Northern California’s most beautiful spots, Muir Woods and the charming coastal town of Sausalito. Your day starts with a dramatic drive along the Pacific Coast Highway which winds through coastal mountains and pass Mount Tamalpais, the highest point in the Northern California Coast Ranges. Stop at Muir Woods, home to the coast redwoods and enjoy a leisurely walk through these giant trees. Set aside in 1908 as a federally protected area, Muir Woods is the only surviving stand of Old Growth forest in the Bay Area today.
Continue to Sausalito which is located at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. This small Mediterranean-like village is now home to some of the country's wealthiest citizens. Here you are free to explore the boutique shops, art galleries, fabulous mansions, amazing food and breathtaking views of the bay at your leisure. Afterwards, you can choose to return to San Francisco on any one of the Citysightseeing Buses which depart at 12.00pm, 2.00pm, 4.00pm or 6.00pm or opt to ride the ferry back to San Francisco at your leisure (ticket $9 extra; payable locally).
